So I'm a little new and have been trying new types of letterboxes. Do most people keep a separate logbook for plants and one for finds ?

I have a logbook for my finds. When I do a plant, I will print out the clue once I put it on AQ and then stamp the imagine on the bottom. I keep them in the back of my clue binder.

Thank you, that makes alot of sense. I was trying to find a way of referencing plants, there may be a need to carve a replacement stamp.

I had to go back to stamp the imagine because I post my clues after I plant. But I found this way very helpful. I hope it works for you too.

I only keep one logbook. I journal my finds with a brief statement of something I saw or experienced onh hike. I pit an image of my plant in the log, highlight it to set it apart and then write a note about the plant if it was significant to me in some way. I like looking back through my log and reading through what I did.

I have a separate logbook CFL made that I use for my carves. They may be a plant I did, a postal, a carve I sent off to somewhere else to someone else. I have found my noxer friends interested in what I'm doing and I can show them this book. It also is a personal record for me.

I have a journal I use for finds, but I flip it over and starting from the back page I stamp all my plants. When they met, I started a second journal. I'll probably need a third by the end of the year.

I do the same as Baqash, only using a Canson 10x7 unlined notebook. Also using one of those cheap photo small holders for my pencil carved images that I worked from in case I need to recarve. Putting the 4x6 cards in the holder for the images, and painters tape to hold them secure, then can just peel that off to use the image again. Repencil them to carve. Works for me...

I put everything in one book. I used to label everything, but I don't anymore.

For the ones we plant, we also print out the clues, stamp the image on the clue, then keep them in their own binder. My logbook is actually a small photo albulm. I use blank index cards to stamp on, and if I stamp someones letterbox image, and it doesn't come out well, I can re-stamp it on another blank index card, and put the image that looks best in my photo album/logbook. :)

I have one book for my plants and finds, and another for my carves. As soon as the "carve" becomes a "plant"... it goes in my regular logbook.

I save my original artwork in the "carves" book, so that if I need to replace a stamp, I am all set. I can also see how my carving is improving and have a record of stamps I have made for other folks.

I have started a separate logbook for any stamps I carve, whether I'll be planting them or using for an event or whatever. I also tape the paper I used to do my transfer with it so that if I ever need to recarve anything I'll have a copy of it. Haven't planted any traditional boxes yet, only some hitchhikers, but once I do I'll keep a copy of the clue with it as well.
