A few good places to start for beginners are these user-friendly, free sites:

Shutterfly's Share Sites
Since this one is run by a photo service, it is going to the best most picture friendly -- lots of options for slideshows, photo albums, etc.

Yola Site Builder

Weebly Sites & Blogs

I had some one help me with mine, with you I don't know a lot. They set me up with wordpress and then I just picked out a woo theme. Which is a base website that you pretty much plug and play. I then just had to add my own content. They do have blog abilities if you need but you don't have to use them. I have found that it works great for me and my commerce site.
