Hate to be complaining, but, same as at the Millenium, we don't start counting with 0. So there is still a year left of this decade.

Well, actually, mathematically speaking, you can start with zero. This was a different way of looking at it with our math curriculum this year. It was taught to count from zero to nine, rather than one to ten. It is the way that place value works as we use it. Ten is the first number of the next "place value". One hundred begins the hundreds place, not 101. It definitely helps my kids understand math better if they start with zero.
