Stamp pocket ideas

I just saw a couple of cute stamp pockets in the stamp swap board, by Squid Inky....felt with elastic sewn to the flap of the felt to secure the package. I wonder what other ideas people have for pockets to protect their stamps.
When I first started out I used a piece of paper towel to wrap the stamp. Now I use felt. Initially I just cut a rectangle of felt and wrapped it around the stamp. Now I create a felt pocket by ironing a thin bit of iron-on webbing along the sides.
I would love to hear any creative ideas and would especially like to see photos if you have any.

As far as stamp pockets I confess, I am still at the piece of scrap cloth stage....

I've done a lot of different things but I never thought to take photos of them. I hate the paper towels. It just makes my box looked "unfinished". I don't mind finding them that way, but when I make them they at least have to have felt. Here are the things I've done:
--covered small boxes with the same paper I used for the logbook so the logbook and stamp box are a matching set.
--sewn bags with with tossles on them. Some times the tossle even has a bonus stamp mounted into it.
--felt wraps with velcro or button closures.
--fun foam pockets-- the ribbon on the coptic stitched pocket will match the one used on the logbook.

I was sewing felt pouches for most of my stamps, but found an office supply item that made it easy to be lazy...velcro straps, used to control cord clutter from the PC.
Cut a strip of felt long enough to wrap the stamp with a little overlap, then just stick the 'grabby' side of the velcro onto the felt. The velcro straps have a hole at one end where you can thread it through itself, but I just nip that off. One end of the strap ends flush with the fabric, the other end, leave an inch or so hanging off, and that's it. Takes longer to describe than to do, really...
For small stamps, this works great; for larger ones, I break out the needle and thread and get sewin'.

I was looking at someone's blog while over on Ravelry the other night. This person had made pockets from pockets of blue jeans, really cute too. Used the little pocket watch, or whatever those smaller pockets are to be used for, to make the stamp pockets out of. On the back side was where the logbook went and the stamp went in the tiny pocket on the front. Pretty neat, but you would have to have a sewing machine, I imagine, that would go over the thick seams to sew it up with. Not in my arsenal.

My husband wanted to know why all my stamps have nicely sewed felt pouches while I have a pile of clothes in the closet waiting to have buttons sewed back on or to be mended in some way that have been there for years.

I've found a few stamp pouches, usually made from fleece. Very nice -- but they don't seem to work well with my stamps, which are mounted on foam and wood backing. The stamp pouches only seem appropriate with unmounted stamps. So, while I do use fleece, I don't sew it into a pouch, I just cut a piece to wrap the stamp in and slip it into a baggie.

All my wood mounted stamps were in
I don't make wood mounted stamps any more but when I did, that's what I used.
Over time, I got rid of the wood backing since it took up too much room. I used that room to increase the size of the logbook to decrease my maintenance.
