Question of Protocol

Haven't seen this discussed, so I need an answer. I have 2 boxes that I am to plant for others in states other than where the author/carver lives. Can I, as planter, count these as finds? It really isn't fair to claim them in any other way.

Nope. Section 4.3.14(a) clearly states that you may not count as a find any letterbox that you planted. A box can count as a find, or as a plant, but never as both. And planting trumps finding. Even if you forgot the location of the box and need clues to find the box you planted, it still can't count as a find. *nodding* =)

However that Finding, planting, counting thing that Ryan just mentioned, is just an AQ thing, in your books and in your mind, count however you want. This is a game after all.

Ah, but there IS a way... a devilishly sinister way: create an alter ego for yourself and a sig stamp and then you can go find ALL the boxes that your original ego has planted! Bwahahahaaa!!

You can also create and plant boxes for your original ego to find! BWAHAHAHAHAAA!!

It is a little known fact that there are actually only three letterboxers in North America.

And, frankly, I'm not so sure about those other two.

You need to read Starsaels post just before Doctroid's to get it. Very funny. :)
