Jdog's box
Board: Kid Shenanigans

As many of you know Jdog is my 9 year old daughter. She currently has a box that she would like to see planted out of state. She thinks that it would be fun to send it somewhere far away. Is anyone interested in helping this little boxer??

How about Ecuador!!!
I'm going there at the end of the month on vacation, and would be glad to bring it there if it's reasonably small. I was gonna plant on of mine, but it would be even better if it was J-Dog's. However you may never get a visitor to this box, or may never find out if you did. Let me know what you think. I could put it right on the equator, or near Cotopoxi Volcano, or possibly on the Galapagos.

We were hoping for several responses so that Jdog could pick out the place she thought was the most "cool". Ultimately she will decide when she sees her options.

How about Alaska, I live here and would be able to watch over and protect this box the best I can.

I would be happy to place and protect (to the best of my grandmotherly ability) your box up here along coastal Maine. The few boxes I have placed are pretty near me so I can try and check on them monthly.

Good luck with your decision and be sure and let us all know the lucky state or country that you choose.

The sun would be the most directly overhead at the equator on the vernal and autumnal equinox. Therefore the fact that it is July really does'nt make it any hotter etc. They really don't have seasons persay. Actually if I stand on the equator, I could have one leg in summer and one in winter.

p.s.
It sounds like J-Dog needs to carve more boxes for other states.

tooth fairy is 9 as well.. and we're in Oregon and she'd be happy to plant for another 9 year old.

Maybe we need to do a box exchange project???

Many thanks to all of you who so graciously responded to Jdog's request. The response was overwhelming to say the least. Let's put it this way she will be sending out more than one box. :-) You wouldn't believe the excitement around our house as she constructs handmade logbooks for the boxes. Again let me express my heartfelt thanks for making one young boxer very happy!!

I love this idea! We're in Western NY and our 10 year old daughter, Castaway, has been begging to carve a stamp and plant a box of her own.

Concidering handing over the carving tools ...
