You know, I thought it was just me being at work, but I haven't been able to look since last Thursday, all I get is a black screen, even when I try refreshing and hold down my control button. I'm so curious as to what's going on out there with these beautiful birds!

Here I was thinking the IT guy figured me out and did something to my computer, lol!!!!

no...it even made CNN news Saturday morning that so many people were trying to see the eagles that it was overloading the server..or whatever. bottom line...if you get a video feed at all...count yourself luckier than most.

poor things...no baby!! *chin quiver*

I've been lucky enough to watch this off and on during the day today at work. I've been watching for a couple weeks now, so imagine my dismay at seeing only ONE egg in the nest today! Ahhhh! My co-workers think I'm crazy because I was so distraught! I didn't see what happened, and I didn't see any "remains" until I looked at your picture.

My fingers are crossed with you! They've been such good parents!

here is a video from before when there were still 2 eggs. i am posting it because the first half of this video is amazing to me. The eagles make a switch on the nest and have a quick "conversation".

Ok, I have to contribute to the nest cams. My school has one up at an osprey nest. It appears that they are experiencing some technical difficulties right now and when it is working, it is often not pointed at the nest, but hey, they tried.

For something totally different (as in the continent), one can broaden one's horizons to a Stork Nest in Germany:

please adjust for time zones wherever you are. Germany is 6 hours ahead of Eastern Time. So, 6 pm EDT is roughly midnight.

I've been following the eagles with great interest since seeing their cam URL posted here, so thank you for sharing it!

Unfortunately, our eagles aren't going to be parents this year. David Hancock (of Hancock House) thinks they may be too old, and infertile. But, he also thinks they've had lots of eaglets in the past, so we shouldn't be too sad that this year didn't work out.

There's lots more information here:

It's still been fascinating to watch them, eaglets or no. :)
