Yes, the other state boards do seem to chat more now, so much so that even I often skip them. I rarely skip your board though, unless I am on hols. Too many friends here, I like to know what you are up to :-)

It will probably be in Asheville. Dixie is taking over running the Twelfth Night gathering from Mountain Scorpia and last year's was at Barley's Taproom in Asheville.

However, with Dixie in charge, she may decide to host it up on top of Helen's Bridge. In which case, I might not attend. ;-) Odd things happen to Dixie and Mojo at Helen's Bridge...

P.S. MerMom, Helen's Bridge is a part of "haunted Asheville". Lots of weird stories abound about that place. Just a little background since you haven't been around in a while.

well...
I like Barley's...the food is great and I love the history of the place...

BUT...
it's not the best place for children (which I adore and must have there)...
or folks who have a hard time with the acoustics of the place (it's awfully loud).

at this point I am trying to think of another good place...
wish we could do an outdoor pavilion but it's liable to be below zero outside...
or 70 for that matter. ya can never tell about these mountains.

so...
while we are on the subject...
any ideas?

Talk to Quality Forward - they are near the Grove Arcade (and Dixie's Letterbox Letterbox!) and LOVE to encourage any kind of environmentally-friendly family activities. I think the Exec Dir's name is Susan Roderick. They may have a big meeting room they'd let you use.

Ooooo....Helen's Bridge sounds good to me!! Nothing weird happened to us while we were there, so I'm gonna have to try again!

Just looked up "Haunted Asheville" and gee the tour sounds fun. I am looking forward to the cooler weather, though I've enjoyed my early morning boxing in the cool while the kids are asleep. If there are any early morning moms in the Charlotte area who have some boxes to find, just e-mail me and we can do some pair or group boxing!

Well, Mojo ended up spitting blood after she and Dixie tried to summon Helen. That weird enough for ya?
