Quote They are training to be Boxing Buddies.

LOL, will they get a certificate if they pass?

Quote Do I have to have a separate blog for a buddy or can I just post adventures on my blog

If you already have a blog, you could start with posting there and then if you really want to you could start a separate blog later.

here's a boxing buddy question..... We want our buddies to have their own blog. Now would we set that up? or let the host family do it?

If we set it up I guess we could just write the password in the logs book that way the host family could update the blog. or How is this usually done?

Well, I think Boxing Buddies are so new that everything is still trial and error to a certain extent, so whatever you want to do goes :-)

Most of us seem to use Blogger, and it is very simple to join up:-

https://www.blogger.com/start

Some people are blogging their own buddies, some are blogging the buddies they host and some are doing both. I think you can do whatever you work out between you. For the buddy I have at the moment I am sending some info to put on her blog, and keeping some stories to put on my own blog. Some people just copy and paste whatever you send in emails to them. Some make up their own stories.

I think really, the only thing to check is that it is ok to put other peoples photo's on the blog. Sometimes for example I take a photo with a letterbox stamp belonging to someone else. Well, especially as it is England to America, I would like to send the Buddy owner that photo privately, but I would not wish it to be put on their blog. Of course photo's set in the surrounding area are fine, as are photo's of my own boxes.

So your sending this info to the owners e-mail then they put into the blog?

then you can add things yourself into the blog also.

Quote check if it is ok to put other peoples photo's on the blog

this I agree with. I do not put too much personal info on out there, either, so this is a given for me.

thanks for the info

Yes, I send a little update every now and again. They choose what they wish out of it to use on their buddy's blog, or sometimes they keep it as just news for them and they put something completely different on their Buddy blog.

No, they have complete control over their own Buddy's blog. The stories I keep for me go onto my own blog. My own blog is about the Buddies I host whilst they are staying with me. It is not neccessary to do that though, it is just the way I started out.
