So, what we need is a web page of "Guidelines for Planting Letterboxes in Florida", with tips like these:

Don't plant within Walt Disney World or other theme parks.

Use only high-quality containers; cheap plastic breaks down in the sun and heat.

Don't rely upon stumps or deadwood for landmarks or hiding spots; they decompose too fast here.

If planting on vacation, post a note on the Florida board asking for someone to adopt your box.

"Guidelines for Planting Letterboxes in Florida",

Chain to a tree so it does not get washed away in a flood.

Wait, wait, wait! We need to establish the guidelines first before we all dive in with suggestions of what to add to them! Where do we put such a document? On AQ under the Help Wiki somewhere would be my suggestion, although I suppose it could also be a file on the Facebook page, or perhaps a pinned posting.

And regarding the chaining down: I typically recommend tying down a box (with string, chain, whatever) whenever the box location is lower than the nearest highway pavement. The guys at DOT do a pretty good (although not perfect!) job of making sure our highways are above flood level, so the highway level is usually a good indicator of how high floods can be expected to get. If you pull off the highway and go downhill to get into the park, that's always a bad sign. But if you're planting a box on the top of a hill overlooking a highway, you probably don't need to tie it down.

Thank you for this recommendation. After seeing this a few years ago my chained box has been under water three times. It is doing well, in a dry Lock/Lock. The pictures we are seeing, here in SC, of the panhandle this week look like severe flooding.
I have also suggested a button, for threads that go too far. The button would send the discussion to Facebook. I am not on Facebook. Please no backlash, I have already heard it before. 80)

I'm here in Pensacola and it was crazy! Our street is dry(drained like it should once rain stopped) but washouts on streets we have to use to get anywhere. I've never seen so much rain and constant lightning for so long. Still lots of standing water around town.
