If you switch to "standard view" on something with a 4-inch screen, do you see the whole My Page really tiny? Or do you see a small portion of it and have to pan around on it?

You'll see the whole page really tiny and you have to zoom in to the area where you can really read anything. Then you might have to pan around to see the stuff that now scrolls off the page.

It's not pretty.... =)

Well, since some of us are working with 17" screens while others are working with 4" screens, I guess you gotta decide what you're gonna do.

Okay, I made a personal album. How do I connect it with my profile page?

I think I did it properly now. Could someone could please check for me? If you go to my Logbook page and change the Action to Photo Album, can you see photos?

No. Photos are not an option there, for me at least. I found your photo album. Here's the link--maybe you can insert it in the "Free Flowing Thoughts" part of your profile page. You've got some really neat things in there--I love the eggs, and the Tanzania watercolor needs to be a logbook cover and a stamp. Nice!

That's funny. Others could not access my photo album! So last night we added a link, on my profile page. I don't think anyone has tried it yet, so can't be sure if it works. [Any one want to volunteer?]

I have taken two of my stamp image ideas from my eggs, because the eggs are suitably small. Never thought to use the Tanzania picture, which is 5 by 8 inches. Thanks very much for your kind comments!

I can see your album now. I especially like the eggs. Do you paint on real egg shells?

Thank you!

They are certainly real eggs, and whole ones! But the process uses hot wax resist, like batik, and intense dyes. The egg is dipped in several baths, from lightest to darkest color, after each wax application. My local Ukrainian church gives lessons, but I also made Pysanki in the past. It's an old, traditional craft. Other ethnic groups do them in different ways. I often see drawings in white, dipped in a single brilliant color. The wax is melted over a candle, in a tool called a kistka. I use a fine kistka, mostly.

Recently tiggermama shared that she does this process as well. She said that it helps her to put carving stamps in perspective as the eggs are breakable & do get broken after all the hard work.

Thank you for sharing.

How fun! My neighbor teaches a Ukiraniun (sp?) egg class. She made one for me with fish on it that is simular to yours.
I have chickens and I am saving eggs for her. She especially likes the blue & green ones that my Americana's lay.

It's always fun to see artist's work!

Oh, I love getting a carton of multicolored eggs at the farmers market. I have a friend with all kinds of ducks, quail, chickens and young children. Teacher sent a note complaining that girl kept insisting there COULD be green eggs and ham.

And thank you.
