we should hae a snow day!
it began "snowing" around 4 and turned to sleet within an hour. even the slush in the streets is frozen solid! yesterday we had black ice so its even wrose now, adn of course everyone has shoveled so the sidewalks are horrible, and we have around thirty mile winds which bowl any one over!

kitten without mittens *very upset to be out of bed in these conditions to sit in class!*

so sorry to hear that... almost everything in Maine and Southern NH is either closed/cancelled for today. But my husband had to go to work... a 20 minute drive... so I armed him with the cellphone and he laughed at me. Bundle up and put on your mittens... 'baby its cold outside!'

I also had to drive a long 5 minutes to get to my work.....I am sitting here looking at my video monitors as it snows and there is no traffic. Call volume so far is low. Only one accident so far. Everything around is either snow covered or slushed covered. A good day to just relax, listen to the radio, and check AQ every now and then.

Hopefully... people will use their heads and stay off the roads so calls remain low. Good hope - but not likely to happen. Mainers can sometimes be 'thick headed!'
