Its NOT that cold. Think t-shirt under a sweatshirt and you'll be fine. Maybe a fleece vest with mittens and headband in the pockets.

It's hot as hades here in NC!

If only we could trade a little of our cold for a little of your hot, we would both end up comfortable. It's the heart of winter here, and we are going through a cold snap.

um, denise? i know it looks in all the pictures like i have fur, but i'm actually, far as anyone can tell, a lizard.

yup, start to shiver at 70, with actual teeth chatter at 64. T-shirt, sweatshirt, fleece AND mittens it is!

Went there in July of '09. Packed fleeces, long underwear, smart wool socks none of which ever saw daylight. And with midnight sun, there's alot of daylight. Record temps. On a glacier in 85 degree heat. Had to wash shorts and t shirts. You'll be just fine. All this talk has me missing AK : (

Well, actually, we are going to southern California for 4 days after Alaska, to visit with our son and daughter-in-law, so there will be shorts and t-shirt in there as well.

Have i mentioned how excited i am about this whole thing?!?!?
