Seems my 12 foolish friends from over the border (well 11 of them - with one Maine descenter in their midst) have gone to a very elaborate time to invite Team MudCup to Ship of Fools by enticing us with passports, maps and mystery...

Now mind you - Tea doesn't do water - so hopping aboard the SS Ship of Fools could be treacherous at best...

And looking at the weekend that it falls on - there's a Friday the 13th in the mix. I sense trouble right out of the gate.

Just goes to show you - 'keep your friends close, and your foolish friends closer' ; )

We see 208 sign-ups so far......................... but no Mud or Tea listed! ;(

Landlubbers are welcome! We will have life-vests too!!! There will be PLENTY of boxes ashore - Who needs to get island boxes by kayak anyway!!! :)

Night Boxing on Friday the 13th??? Mwwwwaaaahhaaahhhhaaaaahhhhaaaaaaa!!! Beware of Pirate Ghost ships in the dark!

Did someone advise New Hampshire?

New Hampshire awaits your arrival with open, muddy arms. We'll have a foolish welcome committee awaiting you at the bridge. Just make sure you pick the correct bridge or you'll need life jackets and a good doggie paddle to get across. We'd just hate to see Tea get water in her cup.

Sadly - the weekend of Ship of Fools conflicts with a MAJOR family event for me...

Now I know family is family and fools are fools... but I do need a place to live 362 days of the year ; )

Sorry... if there was a way.

I'm bummed about it too...

I've been watching the event since its been posted... kind of been getting me more and more bummed the more I learn about it...

I'd much rather come and play with friends...

But like I've mentioned... family : (

I'll be thinking of you all having fun while I'm here being a responsible family member... UGH

Hey Mud!

We'll miss you then, but should see you in August!!! Don't sweat it. Life does get in the way of our letterboxing fun sometimes. At least you can find a few MA boxes now that you have a passport!

"S'all Good!" ;o)

Thanks Pete!

If anything changes - you'll be the first to know!

With both Amber's and my working schedules - we have a hard enough time trying to get a day to go boxing in Maine lately...

I work weekends - and usually on my day off during the week - she's working. Makes it hard on the logbook...

You folks sure go to extremes to provide a good time. Oh, the speculation that has been bandied about!

Thank you for the invite and official passport. ;)

The Grateful Dead yearly events, which this year is called Ship of Fools, are always GREAT events!!
More Mainers ought to get down there to Mass. for them. You can just go for saturday OR for even more fun sign up for the camping too. Lots of fun events and stamps in the campground.
One of our favorite events.. we have our campsite reserved!
Come join in. Mud, looks like they really want you there!!!!

Not all can fly off at a whim... some of us aren't retired yet ; )

I unfortunately have to work and I have a family obligation that weekend...

We can't always get what we want - or do what we want when we want to. Sometimes responsibility is just no fun : ( But we'll make it down there soon...

Ah, indeed, we will miss Team Mudcup aboard the Ship of Fools, but know only too well how real life can sometimes keep us from letterbox frolicking. I hope your family event is one that brings you much joy! :-)
