I've downloaded 12 free classics. I got a library book, which I am already a 3rd of the way through. And I just took advantage of one of the offers - one of 100 mysteries/thrillers for $1. Heat Rises (Nikki Heat #3) by Richard Castle for $1? Yes please! :)

Jealous! I still have my bosses that she let me borrow so I could finish a book. I love it. Now that libraries are offering books I'm on board but I am planning to wait till the next round comes out and maybe get a discount on the previous model. Was it easy to get a book from the library?

They've already knocked the price of the Kindle 3 (now called Kindle Keyboard) down to $99. I'm not sure it's going to go lower than that.
Yes, pretty easy. I first had to pick the book on the library's website, and then it took me to Amazon where the actual transaction took place. But I really had no issues with it.

Maybe I'll be getting one sooner than I thought.

They won't actually be available until November. But yes, that is one of the new options.

The first things I down loaded when I got mine were the complete works of Agatha Christie and Mark Twain. I felt like such a brainiac. The first thing I downloaded and actually read? Breaking Dawn. So much for culturing up...

I downloaded a library book last week. Just so you know, you have to use the Wi-Fi. I was using 3G and it wouldn't work. It took the tech people almost a half hour to figure out what the problem was! Once I used the Wi-Fi, it downloaded with no problem. Plus, our library website has a how-to video on using it. Very easy.
