Who is better

I just introduced a few friends to Letterboxing. The guy said," This is crazy you are like Indiana Jones" I do tend to think of Indiana Jones while I'm letterboxing. But I think a lot about Ben Gates from National Treasure. Which one would make a better Letterboxer, Indiana or Ben?

In Indiana Jones, you know how all the flesh melted off of the SS guys when they looked at the Ark of the Covenant? Wouldn't it be cool if letterboxes had that power against muggles!

That was EXACTLY the image I used in my presentation at LBCon!

I think Flynn Carsen, the Librarian, would do well.

Lets see, can use a whip, carries a gun and has a great hat. Gotta give it to Junior.

'Course, Chuck Norris can beat both of them up... with his pinkie!

You want to get us hunted down and shot like a duck! ;-)

But talking about movie references, the best power to have would be an invisibility cloak (bag) for our boxes. The boxes would still be there but you couldn't see it until you remove the cloak.

But then if we're referring to "technology" from that particular movie series, we could place floating boxes that are cloaked. Imagine, if you will, a clue like: In the field you will find a lone boulder. The box is 100 feet straight up, cloaked and protected by pixies. Good luck!

But letterboxing is not about being tough -- it's about being clever. Indie occaisionally solves clues, but that's what Ben does all the time. I'm for Ben.

that's why, upon thinking about it, my vote is still for Miss Frizzle, of Magic Schoolbus fame (a very great cartoon about exploring the sciences on PBS).

If I recall correctly, wasn't Ben Gates also a Navy SEAL? He can solve Mapsurfer clues and retrieve the boxes, even if they are underwater.

That's too far over my head. I'd have to knock it down with a stick. :D

Nah, just negotiate with the pixies. They surely don't want you throwing any sticks and will be willing to consider alternatives. ; )

I really enjoyed reading all of these. Bahaha. I did forget about Laura Croft and I have to change my vote to her too for obvious reasons.
