That's really bad... I remember being able to go to Playalinda Beach (before they decided to shut it down for launches) to see Columbia go up (1981). Back then they launched no matter what!

Better a scratched launch than a tragedy.

I DO understand your frustration--wish you could have had the experience with your son.

We might try again Monday. But probably not since it would consist of taking him out of school an additional day. Oh well.

Tough call--I'd be tempted, because it is history (One of the last launches, right??) On the other hand, no guarantees and I am not sure I could deal with the crowd.... Of course, I'm feeling grumpy about organized education right now, but will spare you THAT vent.
