That's a great question... IN August we have an event that's pretty big. And everyone in Maine says its my event. But I look at it as OUR event. I have LOTS of help with the event. I might make sure thinks get taken care of - but my friends help out even if they are not on the official planning committee.

Even being an event planner - doing large events completely by yourself is crazy. You'd never have any fun. Share the wealth and the praise by letting folks help. Not everyone will want to - and its important to not leave someone stranded that's just a participant at the event... but alittle deligation so you can have a break is always nice.

I'm hosting my first event next month, and it has grown to 60 people plus a waiting list. There is no way I could be doing it alone! They aren't listed as hosts, but I have people who are part of the set up and clean up crew and a boxing friend who is going to help me plant all the nearby boxes the day before, and she's not even attending the event!

I have found out that people will offer to help carve boxes and to see what else they can do to help. This is a wonderful community indeed!
