WASHINGTON.
DC.

We could start a local fund and purchase his cemetery plot for him to make sure he's 'planted' here!

You guys are killing me!...Hilarious...ROTFLMAO.

Or maybe that is the wrong choice of words for this topic.

Washington...to be more precise...Index...after all..."Isn't Life Beautiful and Letterboxing Friendly?" How's that for subtle hints.

But wait...who's to say I couldn't spread the ashes in two or three locations...my god, I've got to get to the shop right away...so much to do...

You're going to die laughing?

Have you considered a Roger Rabbit box? If anybody can build a box that would only open when it's funny, you'd be the one!

With all this talk of your future death, I hope you don't mind but I put your name in my Dead Pool for 2011.
Now, can I borrow your signature stamp so I don't have to carve anything for the postal. And while you're at it, I'll be needing your logbook too.

What?!? It's not like you're going to need them....

j/k

I really think that since X started his 'boxing career in NC, it's only fitting that it ends in NC. *nodding*

I have designed my headstone already with the secret compartment built into it.

I have a bunch of headstones with the compartments in them already occupied :)

I actually got this idea from Lundy's posting on a similar thread a while back. He was the first one (that I saw) that posted that he was planning on adding a compartment to his headstone for a stamp so that his letterboxing friends would come and visit him after he passed. The idea stuck with me, so while planning for the OMG Halloween event I decided that I wanted an entire cemetery filled with gravestones that had stamps in them :) I'm very happy with how they came out and I'm hoping to add to the cemetery every year :)

Thanks for the pictures! Now how can I get to Massachusetts?

Also, just wondering is any of Preboxed's friends have been following this thread.
There should be a nice way to create a tribute to her that falls in with this idea of a final box.

I never sell my secrets. I like to consider the word "barter" as a better arrangement. I make things and then beg people to carve. Yep...that's bartering right?

Letterboxing Headstones for sale...now there's a place I never thought this hobby would take me. Maybe I should just give up a tutorial and let folks have at it.

Yes, beg...and you probably have to twist their arm real hard, don't you? ;-)

Anyone interested in viewing a tutorial on the stuff he builds just needs to subscribe to this blog.

One of these days I'm going to upload a photo of one of the stamps you have carved. You are as capable as some of the best at carving (and I often wonder how many people actually know that).

However, you often choose to share the fun with others. And that has been something I'm very thankful to have had the opportunity to have been part of. :)
