Try baby lotion (NOT baby oil). Baby lotion is made for sensitive skin. I have extremely sensitive skin and I also cannot use lanolin, but I have rubbed baby lotion over my entire face without stinging. I think Burt's makes a baby lotion which would be even better since it's natural. Another suggestion is eye cream - the night kind. Eye cream is made to be extra moisturizing. Good luck!

This was my first thought. Of course she will have no wrinkles either :)

Try hydrocortisone. My son has severe eczema and that's where his doctor had us start. Now we've moved onto some heavy duty prescription lotions. But hydrocortisone should work for most people. If it doesn't clear in a few days, see your doctor. There are different levels of prescription lotions and they work very quickly. :)

Some organic olive oil works well. My oldest had infant eczema and I didn't want to use anything dangerous and that was the first suggestion his doctor made.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I usually call my and/or howie's mom and between the two families they have run into it before and know what to do. This time both Mom's said "I dunno".

I'm starting with what I have in the house...olive oil, almond oil and hydrocortozine. No, not mixed together. :) We have Gril Scouts tonight. We'll stop at CVS on the way home and pick up some other suggestions if her eye lids and surrounding skin don't look better by then.

Thanks

one last suggestion. My son is 2 1/2 and since he was born he has had awful skin. He was never soft and smooth like a baby, his skin was rough and always looked like he had a rash on his arms and legs. The doctors prescribed everything they could think of. We used cortisone, creams (not lotion, lotion contains alcohol which is drying to the skin), he had steroid creams, oils, baby wash, baby lotions, everything. I changed our soap, our clothes detergent, diaper brands, and nothing made it go away. It was so bad I didn't want him to go with shorts and tshirts or just onsies. Then my mom remembered somehting that my brother used 20+ years ago. It's called Dermarest. I rubbed his whole little body down 2x everyday and within a week the irritations on his skin were gone. Now i can rub him down 1 -2 times a week after bath and he never breaks out. Great stuff! I don't know if it will work or can be used around eyes, but maybe someone else can use it.

I had that for a bit and figured out that it was a new eye lotion I tried. Check if there is a new soap, laundry detergent, lotion, or any product or routine that has changed recently and discontinue use.
