I've never even seen one of 1101010's pennies, and just heard of them today, but I want one too! I was in a squished penny postal ring and have a bag of the things - they are fun!

I do know..... I researched getting a machine, because I thought it would be the coolest thing ever to have out here at the farm for Christmas Tree customers. But after you buy the machine AND the dies (and of course, I would want a new design every year, because so many of our customers repeat - I know they would want a set ;-)) it came no where near paying for itself, by the time I calculated in a rough guestimate of the suckers - I mean CUSTOMERS - who would get one.

And if I recall correctly, you can have custom pennies made for you - much cheaper than buying the machine....... but for Christmas tree customers - nah - the fun is doing the machine. Now using them as a FF prize - inspired!

I have two pathtags -- one is a bee that says "Catch the Buzz" and the other is like a nose-art pinup, a bee girl, because I'm the honeychile ::grin: Pathtags are neat custom metal coins that don't take up much room (about the size of a quarter). I occasionally leave them in letterboxes just as a little gift for the next person. They're not intended to travel, just a wee memento for another boxer.

We've been lucky enough to find one of your pathtags, Honeychile. Was a pleasant surprise, and something we'd never found before. We went to the Pathtags website afterwards to read a bit more about them.

Hmm... actually that is slightly different. Smaller, for one, and with less information. And of course the access code is different and enables slightly different content on the site. For anyone who's curious about my smashed penny, here is the page i set up for it a long time ago on cointracking.com (http://cointracking.com/view_series.php?sid=361).

My normal (as opposed to LTC) sig stamp is also similar, but slightly different (and much larger).

The pathtag design is something completely different, but does have its own code for the site. Who knows what other versions one might find...
