Well, for one, AQ Mailing to more than one person with one message IS possible. You just need to list all the people you want the message to go to in the right box above your message.

As for the signups issue...well, have you been using the Yahoo! Group for having you people sign up for your box? You may wish to list it there as open... Go to the Groups page and search for Postal_letterboxing . That's the group name, I believe.

Also, if you make a AQ Board post about the box, with the name of the box in the title, you can explain what you want people who are already signed up to do.

Hope that helps...

yeah, i realize you can add in the names of all email recipients into the "to" field when you write email but that is not the same considering you would have to manually keep up with and type in MANY addresses or names for some postals. I had simply asked Ryan about an option to send one email to everyone on a sign-up list with the click of a button etc. Now there is no list :~(

and yes, i do go to the postal group at yahoo...I don't like yahoo groups by the way (the way I like AQ) and there is no support there for a box listing with sign-ups, clue etc. Yahoo is too generic. Everyone and their brother is posting about a certain PLB...there comes a time when you want to see activity on ONE box. The postals and the message board was my biggest draw to AQ lately. I loved being able to see who is gonna receive which postal and/or who wants to receive one of mine.

just something that was very useful and handy for me... that's all.

again, I may be missing something (maybe something is taking the palce of the list that makes it better)??????????????? Help me Ryan...

I will have to take time to play with the other updates... the postal ring update may come in quite handy soon enough!!?? :~>

This all sounds really cool. I am pretty confused by the details too though. I now have postal boxes which I no longer know where they are supposed to go because the signup lists are gone. Yes I rely on AQ to keep the list. You said something about converting our boxes?

What you can do is create a ring and list your box and the participants in the "ring," even though it's for one box. According to the new ring help section, I think that it is acceptable to have rings of just one box. If you do it that way, there is a link at the bottom of the participant list to contact all participants You can make sign-ups open, so anyone can sign up, or limit sign-ups in various ways.

that sounds like what I was expecting with regular postals during this update...unless there is some reason that postals should not show sign-ups...some reason I just am not thingking of or considering....

Quote No sign-ups for postals?? for real??? what on earth are we to do??

Create a ring for it. Rings can have a single box, then people can sign up for it like they would have directly for the postal box--but it's much more flexible through the ring. =)

So create a new ring, add your postal box, and you're set. =) Well, you'll still need people in your ring. For existing rings, set the ring status to closed and add all of the members individually who already signed up.
