This is a postal ring. Each participant will make a letterbox that will travel around the ring, round-robin style.

I know some folks are hesitant about CD Postal rings because they require compilation of an entire CD and burning it. So here is a postal ring for music lovers who don't want to do the whole deal...

For this project, the idea is to collectively compile a summer tunes playlist. Each participant will choose 1 song to add to the playlist and then carve a stamp that is in some way related to that song. When all is said and done, we will have a list of songs comprising a summer playlist (think FUN, sunny, happy, get-outside-and-do-stuff songs!). Songs can be of any genre or era. All song choices need to be in to me by May 15, 2016. I will burn them to CD and include this in my box, so everyone will have opportunity to listen to the entire mix of songs.

To avoid duplicate songs, please send me your song choice as soon as you have decided and I will keep a list on the tracker. I will need song title and artist, and if your song includes profanity, please note that when you email me.

General Guidelines:
1) Email me your name, mailing address, and non-AQ email address when you join.
2) Email me the song you are using BEFORE you carve your stamp. I am not censoring songs, just don't want 2 people to be working on the same thing, unaware of the other.
3) This is a postal ring -- each participant is expected to make a letterbox, consisting of a hand-carved stamp and a logbook, to be mailed around the ring round-robin style.
4) Each participant must make a full package and mail individually -- no doubling up on logbooks, mailing, etc.
5) Strive for turn-around time of 4-5 days. This means if you receive a box on Thursday, you should be mailing it back out Monday-Tuesday of the following week.
6) I will order the ring about a week before start date and send you the address of the person you are mailing to. I do not require you to check with the person you mail to before sending the next box, but you may if you wish.
7) Ring start date is the date of the initial mailing -- please have your package ready to mail on this date; to avoid packages getting bunched up at the start, please do not mail early.
8) Please review the guidelines for packaging a postal and try to make it easy for the next person to remove postage and labels by using dog-eared/tabbed packing tape.
9) Please do not post USPS tracking numbers to the tracker, just keep them where you can find them if needed.

As with all postal rings, communication is imperative. Life happens and that is understood, it just makes things smoother if you let me know what is going on if you run into a situation.
