Bridges. The architectual detail of Art Deco and the sturdiness of Ancient Roman aqueducts, the timeless lines of Monet's Japanese bridge, the the span of the Golden Gate and the cables that run forever of any suspension bridge built in the first half of the 20th century. It's so romantic to imagine how many people used these bridges, stood by them to become engaged, London Bridge, Westminster Bridge, France's Pont Neuf bridge, Bridge of Sighs Venice Italy, Ponte Vecchio, ANY pre WWII European bridges, Eads Bridge St Louis Mo, any Eastern or Middle Eastern bridges built prior to the 20th century.

Any view: looking down through the girders from the top of the bridge, looking up at the bridge from the base of the bridge, on the bridge, etc.

Old-world bridge combined form and function beautifully. The hours spent by stone masons carving brick with beautiful friezes and bass reliefs and the sturdiness of a centuries old stone bridge define the beauty and causes one to pause in wonder and appreciate the talent and intellectualism of previous generations.

Let's create clever stamps, put them in beautiful logbooks and make sure when we receive them we turn them around within a couple days. As always, you'll be notified when the participant order is fixed and you'll be responsible for giving your addy to the person above you. Traditional postal tracker, they're to be sent out one at a time.

**I've been inspired by IrishRef: include vacay pix of your favorite bridge, if you can, maybe as the logbook cover or something. I will include vacay pix of my fav local bridge, but it's not what I'm carving...having never been overseas except to St. Thomas. That counts, right? lol **
