Boxtoberfest 2015

Where: Meet at the pavilion in Green Grove. Unfortunately, there are no outlets in the pavilion.

Time: 10am- 4:30pm. The traditional gathering is Saturday at the pavilion in Green Grove. We will have clue books available at the gathering for the new gathering boxes. Remember to bring your own clues for the other boxes at Washington Crossing State park and check the basement too! There will be a raffle at Noon, donations are greatly appreciated and you don't have to be present to win!

Lunch Pot Luck: Please bring a pot luck dish to share! Unfortunately, there are NO outlets in the pavilion. We'll have bottled water and sodas available and also cups, plates, utensils etc.

Bring: Boxtoberfest started as a New Jersey gathering hosted by letterboxingbee back in the early days of the hobby. For the gathering she would ask each attendee to bring a non-perishable food item, personal hygiene products or cleaning supplies to be donated to a local food pantry. We have chosen the New Britain Food Larder to receive the donated items from Boxtoberfest. All donations will be delivered there on the Monday following Boxtoberfest. In 2014, we were able to donate over 100 pounds of food! So please bring a non-perishable food item or a hygiene item for the donation box! There will be a special stamp for those who can donate. Thank you!

Camping: New location, new camping! Check Boxtoberfest 2015 After Dark for more information. We will have group camping available on Site B for $5 per person, per night. Just a reminder, there can be no alcohol or pets in the campsites :)

Night Boxing: We have a great series planned! Just remember to bring a flashlight or headlamp to find the boxes. The trail will be illuminated :)

Sep 27, 2015: Boxtoberfest 2015 update!!
Hello all!
Well we are in the final stretch! There are only a two weeks left until Boxtoberfest 2015! Hopefully you are anxiously awaiting the gathering :) We are just putting on a few finishing touches, carving last minute stamps and doing all those odds and ends to make it a successful gathering!
Just a few reminders:
1) If you haven't signed up to bring a potluck dish, please do so. Remember there are no outlets in the pavilion :-(
2) We hid the boxes today, please wear long pants because the briars on some of the trails
3) If you are planning to camp, remember to sign up. http://www.atlasquest.com/showinfo.html?gEventId=3383
If you aren't camping but would like to stay for the night boxing, just email Celtic Cat or Lotus to let us know. Remember to bring a chair for sitting around the fire
4) This is super important! Remember to bring a canned good or personal hygiene item for the donation to a local food shelter. Last year we were able to bring in over 155 pounds of donated items. together we can beat our total for last year!

Oct 11, 2015: Boxtoberfest 2015 Lost and Found item
Thank you for joining us for Boxtoberfest 2015 this past Saturday! Lotus and I had a wonderful time, and we really appreciate everyone who came out to make it a wonderful time.

We do have one lost and found item left over from the event- a black hooded sweatshirt with the logo of Megatransect Challenge. Please let us know if this item belongs to you and we can mail it to you, or if you want to join us at out next gathering, A Year in Bizarre Holidays- Round 2: Autumn , at 498 North Main Street, Doylestown we can have your sweatshirt there for you to collect.

Oct 12, 2015: Update
We just wanted to thank everyone that was able to make it Boxtoberfest 2015! The weather was fantastic and the comraderiere was even better!

A big thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your donations!
This year we were able to donate 105 pounds of food and hygiene supplies to the Bucks County Food Pantry! The food pantry was very happy with all of the hygiene supplies and food. All of your donations are greatly appreciated!!
