Talked to the shelter manager. Super nice lady but alas she’d never heard of this box (or even letterboxing in general). If the box is there… the current staff didn’t know about it.

Great place for a box! We adopted our "Special Needs" Dachshund, Han So Low, from Madison County Shelter last summer. We've gone back a handful of times since to drop off donations and let Han visit with Cathy (one of the shelter workers, she loves him). I was excited to discover this clue and remembered to ask for the box this past weekend when we went to make our "Anniversary Donation". My husband and I decided to stop spending money on cards and flowers and pointless stuff for anniversaries and birthdays and make donations instead. Thanks for a great carve! RIP to your sweet baby.

The people at the shelter were so nice! The lady at the desk was very happy when we came in looking for the box. We stoped and looked at all the cats and dogs there. I fell in love with a collie shepherd mix, but sadly I can't have dogs :(
