I found this letterbox and was reaching for it. Lo and behold, there was a hornets nest taking up residence in the same place that the letterbox was resting. My advice...stay away until problem is fixed. I was stung three times. Winter will take care of this problem or I might go and spray it one night.

How fun to think that we might be the first searchers ever to find this delightful box! It was ever so helpful to have that last clue about how far from the trail to look - not sure we would have found it otherwise. Especially like the hand carved stamp in the box and the chance to talk about what we knew about turtles (there were kids in our group). Good quest for kids.
