The ones we found were under a good amount of debris, attached to the ground with tiny roots, and had to be dug out a bit. We found Logo, Pooting Horse, and the Volcano, but attempted the first 7. The ones with logbooks, the books were wet and/or destroyed but the stamps were all fine. Ironically, the bag for the Volcano was melted in the prescribed fire they had here a few years ago. It is still there and the stamp is still fine, but you can't seal the bag. The large tree in the Inuit clue has fallen and uprooted. We dug around the alcove in the back of it quite a bit but had no luck finding the letterbox.

In the last five years since these boxes have been found, the woods has had a fire. Trail is still accessible. Collecting boxes in an odd order, will get more tomorrow. Box 6 had attempted to become part of Mother Earth. Bags are in rough condition.

Lots of fun to find on such a beautiful day! Penguin logbook was soaked through. And a couple of other baggies were torn from critters. A few of the brads had rusted and broke, but everything was still in place! Thank you!

FIRST FINDERS!!! Found them all. #2 book is soaked and #8 bag has been torn open by a critter. I put everything in a new baggie and laid a log on it, otherwise all was well. Thank you for the hide. Loved the trail!!!!
