Can't believe this box was still there after 8 years of no finds. Box is alive and well. Log book is damp but overall in great shape. Found a HH that I am excited to move along. The lookout bench is gone but you can still tell pretty clearly that it's the lookout point. The box location is perfect where it's not affected by the flooding in the area, which it seems there is a lot of. Great views!

It was a gorgeous, but hot (92*F), October day when we found this letterbox. Thanks for a terrific carve. Box was a little wet, but otherwise in great shape.

The trail sign you indicate in the directions is missing as the river trail (that follows the river) is washed away. We counted it to be 20 paces from the bench that you rest on and then look to your left up the hill for the stump and log. In case you want to update your clue. The box is in good condition.

I could not find this box- don't know if I found the correct location. I looked at every trail sign and a sawed off stump was not visible up hill (the nettles were really tall). Also, there was evidence that the Cottonwood River had flooded a lot of the park in the area of this hike (trails washed out and/or impassable).

Loved the location.
