The landscape has changed a bit since the box was planted. An Eagle project put in a set of steps between the buckeye trail and the road. Any spur trail that was once there is now obscured. We did our best to guess where 20 steps then 7 steps was but didn’t find a container by any of those trees. Maybe if we had known the size/type of container and the type of trees or ? we could have had more confidence or been lucky.

Thanks for the walk. We enjoyed the stretch break on our way to GLG.

Define "a clearing." We went up to a road. Thought we found the correct spot but not 100% sure. Seemed to be some evidence of flooding at trees.

Nice hike! We'd just ridden on the canal boat in Grand Rapids. Box is still there & in good shape.

Great carve as Kirbert's always are! Definitely worth the hike. Candystriped wire is no longer there, but box was still easy to find.

Yeah! Loved this box. Can't wait to show our letterboxing friend back home. He loves cars! Thank you!

We have just registered to the Atlasquest site. This is our 1st attempt at true letterboxing. We are normally geocachers and have hidden a couple of letterbox-hybrids. The walk along the towpath from Florida was filled with the colors of fall, and there are about 6 geocaches along the route. I was amazed at the artwork and detail of the stamp. This made the find especially rewarding. Thanks for the letterbox hide.

When we went it was hot, hot, hot! But once we got there it was so worth it. Your carve is beautiful! Thank you
