Box Comments

First, this hike is really lovely and we enjoyed it regardless!
  1. 1 - feeling pretty confident we found the right spot but...hmmm.....feels like it could be there and just slipped out of place
  2. 2 - didn't ever feel like we found *the spot*
  3. 3 and #4 - found! damp so we replaced the bags and dried everything off. a note on #4 - the old oak has fallen, so once you get to where you think it is go about 15 steps off the trail towards the mossy logs, into a raspberry patch
  4. 5, #6, #7 - either skipped b/c of previous comments or never felt like we really nailed the place
  5. 8 - found! note the rock is very much on just at the trail's edge
  6. 9 - #13 - well, the bench and bridge that were mentioned in these clues weren't there anymore...we got to a location mentioned in #13 and realized we had bypassed the lot!
Whew - ultimately, the hike really is worth it regardless and it is amazing to see what has changed in the terrain in the 10 years since the series was planted.

Sadly more of these are missing than found, but what we did find was fantastic!! Garfield box #5 was there but empty. I left a note, but have to say we found almost all the boxes on the loops we did, were sitting exposed, behind a tree or something, but not covered at all. We did our best to tuck them away again. #7 May I have a cookie had a green round of felt where the box should have been. Good luck and go for them! Wear insect repellant. I was bitten 13 times by black midges(tiny flies) when I stopped to log, all over my neck.

We were only able to find 7 of the 13 and believe we had found the correct spots for the others. Happiness Is was in its spot but had been ransacked by animals -- the container and book were chewed (we removed the book as it was beyond use); the stamp was missing.

We love the clues you plant. This one did not disappoint even though we only found about half of the boxes.

The kids pooped out and we had to cut back to the top, but I was very happy to snag the three boxes that I did. It was a very fun trail. Thanks!

Still in it's spot. Glad you found and re-hid it.

What a wonderful group of boxes! Thanks so much. We found "May I Have a Cookie" in the open a bit of a distance from what we believed to be the hiding location. We replanted it in its correct spot, covering very well.

Found spots that looked like they were the right spot, but no boxes within.

Found spots that fit the discription on a couple but not the box. I'll try again later.

Happiness stamp is broken, also this was at the third shagbark, kinda confusing. Otherwise this was an awesome series!

Opus is a riot!
