I awoke this morning to find the weather to be just perfect; I just had to get out there.

I felt like doing something a little different this morning and thought that I would head out and attempt this LB.

I am familiar with the area and not before long, I was at the starting location. With a quick read of the clues, I was off.

Once on the trail it really felt like winter was instantly here... There was a chill to the air, a crispness all around and steam from my breath. It was truly calming.

I made my way around, adoring the surroundings. Unfortunately, the water levels are very low and not very habitable for the platypus… But, on the other hand, it’s being loved by the mozzies. These guys where EVERYWHERE! (Mostly on me!)

All of a sudden, due to being in a nature trance, I was at the next stage of the clue and upon closer inspection, I was glad to see that the LB was still here are live. Though I was disheartened to notice when retrieving the LB that it was half full of water.

Being very carful, I slowly undid the lid allowing the water to drain. When opening the LB it was amazing to see that even with an open baggy, the LB must have been sitting in the right way that the logbook and stamp stayed dry.

Whilst allowing the dampness of the logbook to dry, I did a major dry-out and tidy of the LB. Once done, I did the swapping of the stamps before closing everything back up. Everything was returned back home and I also headed on my way home.

Thanks for the LB 55 Steps. All is now in order with this LB.

Really happy to find a box in Qld! This is the first one we've done with our kids. Not many close to Brisbane. We need to get more going. This was a lot of fun. Great hiding spot and everything is in great condition.

A beautiful spot despite the proximity of the highway, and a charming stamp
