1st box was missing and the second box had its bags and pouch strewn about, but the stamp was nowhere to be found

We were able to save the first page of the original book (destroyed by water) with the original creator's note. We stapled it into a new book on 8/28/2016. We also saved the last page from the original book that includes a note by a previous finder who left and a new (2nd) stamp "99 Red Balloons" in the box. There is no ink pad in the new box.

The second box is well and was found. The first box was found but open and the book destroyed. We are he ting new book and place in same spot.

Now this is a bit confusing: found the Frog hiding spot - big space under the S end of a very long fallen tree. Checked both ends - N end brambles area even (lots of pain there). Went on to find the Duck and under a 3"x8"x12" rotted piece of wood at 2nd very large uprooted trunk - there was the Frog with logbook. So Frog was found but in Duck's location. Duck is MIA.

Found the duck with no problems on this lovely winter day. Looked for the frog at the bases of several stumps in the target area to no avail. Maybe the frog went someplace warm instead?

found while searching to the LHT Multi cache. I had looked to see if there was a LB nearby, but my iPhone app didn't return one on the search.
I was able to figure it out from lbna.org.
Plus the frog stamp helped.
Box is in good shape, thanks

Boxes were not completely closed, so we dried off all and closed up tight. Thanks for the great carves, it was a very nice day for a walk.

Two of my last boxes.

Great trail. Sunday afternoon was a little crowded so be prepared to be sneaky.

Very good clueing (after a couple of bad clueings elsewhere). Thank you, Matt & Andy for the inspriation!
