I'm so sad we could not find this one. Unfortunately, the boardwalk is boarded up and you are not allowed on it. :(

Girl Scout Troop 80031 located and repaired the letterbox. All is good again.

Tried again to find this box, but the water at the end of the boardwalk steps was again so deep, I'd need very high and very waterproof boots to proceed. Lots of obscene graffiti on the boards there now. Wonder if perhaps this box should be relocated or retired.

At the end of the boardwalk steps was a pond of water, at least 6" deep - it would have been well over the top of my hiking boots! I'll try again in a drier season. Sad to see all the trash that had been tossed off the boardwalk.

Box was full of water & the ink from the ink pad was everywhere. The bags were also full of water. The logbook is thoroughly soaked. I was able to dry out the stamp enough to use it. I poured as much of the water out as I could, but unfortunately did not have anything with me to dry it out.

The container is still there but unfortunately everything is soaked. We were able to dry off the stamp to use in our log book but unable to put our stamp in their logbook. If going to hunt for it perhaps take a new tablet and some ziplock bags to repair it.

Great one for the kids! In the woods, but don't have to stray off the trail!
