All 3 boxes are gone. Tree and entire area for box 1 have been plowed smooth to recreate the battlefield. Box 2 is indeed gone but checked anyway. Found exact spot for box 3, but it too is gone. Maybe Nat'l. Park rangers removed them.

The area where #1 was has been clear cut as part of the park's efforts to restore the terrain to the wray it was during the Civil War. There's nothing left but dirt and chewed up tree debris (and the monument that is no longer in the woods).

We did not find #3 in the tree but did find an empty ziploc bag and chewed up pieces of black duct tape on the ground under the tree. Could that be the remains of your box?

Sorry to be the bearers of bad news. = (

I loved this park and would probably never have gone here if it wasn't for letterboxing. Great carves, too.

A really interesting park that we might not have stopped at if not for the letterboxes, thanks! One M is still in place as is three M. Unfortunately as you say two M has disappeared. Also just a head's up for those searching, look around a bit for 3 M it is not to far from the cannon.

oh me! oh my! a mississippi mud pie!
Two Mississippi has been washed away! (Go figure...we put it in a drainage culvert!) We're busy a-fixin' it! Ol' number 2 will be back in a jiffy!!

What fun! We especially liked Three Mississippi because it had such a nice place to do the stamping in!
