There are no pieces of rock anymore. We found it under the edge/crevice of the rock just behind and to the left of the pampas grass. It was sealed in 3 baggies, all of which were quite wet. Amazingly the log book was barely damp. :-) We dried everything up and put it back where we found it but it could use a more watertight box. Thanks for the hunt and for the cool little museum detour on our way to Lubbock! :-)

Great box! Book needs - little attention.

Found the box, had dried out and in good shape. Only sad note is the museum is closed on Mondays so guess I'll make another stop next summer. Thanks for honoring Hoss, my favorite son

We successfully located your letterbox in O'Donnel on January 7th but found it soaked through. We stamped our logs but did not attempt to add our stamps to the enclosed log book as it was so saturated that we feared opening the pages might tear them. We re-hid the box were it was found with care.

Thank you for the stamp, the history, and the nice side trip on our way to Midland.
