Dug around, looked on the ground where box box may fallen, could not find either box. 😢

Not saying the first box isn’t there, I just couldn’t find it. The tree it’s in has broken and fallen, grass overgrown with much trash but I still looked, but alas, no box to be found. Maybe someone smaller can get in there for a better look. Love carve 2, doing well except all the trash in the area.

Accidentally drove past box #1, so I just took a right and pulled over to look at the clue... and wow, I was right in front of box #2 - total serendipity. So pleased was I with this coincidence, that I didn't notice until I was leaning over to get box #2 that there was a dead raccoon - face up - about 2 feet away! Yow! Still got #2 using a long stick (that I keep in my car for LBing). I thought I had the right tree for box #1, but couldn't find the box. Went over to the other tree, which was surrounded by tons of trash... and when I then heard a skittering noise, I thought, "You know, one box is good." :) Hopefully it'll stay there until my next trip - I kept a blank page in my book for it.

They were fun to find! I love that they are here in Newman.

Read the comment about the bag being ripped, so I brought an extra bag and used it as an inner bag for a little extr water resistance. Thanks for the plants, great carves!!

For box number one, it is obviously been pulled out of the tree too roughly. The bag is nearly torn in half. The stamp is damp but the log is drybecause the inner baggy held. This box desperately needs maintenance and unfortunately we didn't have any duct tape with us
