Unfortunately, this one may have been lost to the elements. I was really hoping to find it since the description is so nice. As the last poster commented, the tree is much decayed and I hunted in the leaves and brush in the area but did not find anything.

Unable to find. I think the tree that it was in has fallen and is decomposing:( But I could be wrong!

what a great carve! We did not have our kit with us, the notebook was damp and needs a new baggie.

Very nice stamp. I saw the old man years ago, before he fell off the mountain.

This one was completely exposed and I could see it from the trail. My son made sure it was covered when we left.

Interesting story - glad someone carved a likeness, since the formation collapsed. The stamp is in great shape; so is the hiding spot. Glad we got it- thanks!
