My deepest apologies to Roald Dahl…
Come on, sing along! (You know you will!) 8-)
Oompa Loompa Loompa-di-doh,
Prunus persica urb’s where you go.
Oompa Loompa Loompa-di-dee,
South seven-four will get you to me.
Where would you go to play ball with your feet?
Or hit a home run, kicking dirt with your cleats?
Jim didn’t have a Gettysburg command,
But this guy—the North’s side—took a stand.
(A lame connection, it is true,
But how else can I give the clue???)
Oompa Loompa Loompa-di-dee,
Park in the lot and find post M-16,
Oompa Loompa Loompa-di-dog,
Proceed, trees left, fields right, until a log.
Seven and twenty steps you have made;
The log’s on the left, turn and enter the shade.
Go forth nine steps ‘til you see a spiked tree,
At ninety degrees, tell what you see?
Twenty five steps off you see,
A huge two-trunk’d sweet gum tree…
Oompa Loompa Loompa-di-doh,
Now head due North and see where you go,
Oompa Loompa Loompa-di-dee,
Ten big steps and you’ve arrived here with me!
This box was planted for National Plant a Mystery Box Day 2006. The stamp was previously part of a Willy Wonka PLB ring way back in 2005. Hope you enjoy!
