Does anyone one know of specific boxes that are along the Long Trail? My daughter and husband plan to hike it end-to-end this summer.

If you don't mind a bit of side trail hiking, there's a box at Smugglers Notch, and Mad River Glen.
Further down the road on rt 108 toward Stowe side is Emily's. Camel's Hump also has a side trail you can visit.
Do a search on Stowe VT and you'll see what's available in my neighborhood.

This one is located right on the Long Trail at the top of General Stark Mountain. It's a special stamp and it's still waiting for its first find! The view is spectacular!!!!

Here's another one:

This letterbox is located close to the base of the Tram at Jay Peak. I believe the Long Trail runs across the very top of the mountain. If you have the time, you could find this one too.

Hope that helps you, Roo Crew! Wish we could join you - Have fun!!! :o)

To very old boxes by the Vermont Viking - Enigma stone and Long Trail are both in the northern part of the state. The clues may be off the list - try the Basement of the LBNA site or email me at vonderinsel@cox.net and I can try to find our old clues - can't promise anything.
