I recently received an email from the director of public relations of the Marion County Public Library System. She is very interested in organizing a program or series of programs at their libraries. I live in NY, and have given a couple dozen of these programs near me, each of which included leaving behind a box in the library which is still active (some up to six years later).

I told the director, Julie Mike, that I would post this message to the WV board to see if any of you would be interested in working with her to present these programs. I had nothing but positive experiences with each of the libraries I worked with, and would be happy to email you templates of info sheets I created as handouts if that would help any.

Yes I would be interested and at one point had three boxes in Fairmont. I am an alumni of Fairmont State as well as my older daughter who lives in Fairmont. I am about 2.5/3 hours away so would have to work it into a weekend or when traveling through to Charleston for work.

I have a series in the Martinsburg library and used to work with students on beginning Chess/Go etc during their summer programs.
