My grandmother (Injun Lu from Florida, a spotty boxer at best!) has come up to visit with us for Christmas and in true upstate form, the weather can't seem to decide on what it wants to do. How unfair is THIS??? I could be in TEXAS with craptastic brown colors and chilly weather...I want my SNOW!!!! :-P

Let's hope Toronto's got a little something on the ground...we're taking her up in 2 days and she really wants to see some snow.

I've had to endure that song for many years without any snow, just lots of the usual rain from the Pacific Northwest. But this year we have gotten more than our fair share of the white stuff. Just after getting record amount of rain followed by one of the worst wind storms we have seen in 42 years, then got snow on top of all that just to spruce our attitude up for Christmas. After it just about all melted and everyone got their powerback on, we get more snow followed by heavy rain.
We got almost 3" Friday night followed by freezing rain. Power went out for about 7 hours starting at around 4 AM, no problem, slept till 10. Now its raining pigs and chickens, you can have the slush and the white stuff. Give me your address and I will send you a bunch of it via air mail.
