What is a personal traveler?

A personal traveler (PT) is a letterbox that stays with its owner. Some people convert retired traditional or postal letterboxes into PTs. Like any letterbox, a PT has clues that tell you how to get it. It can be as simple as asking the owner for the PT or difficult like a puzzle or a personal question for which the answer is not readily available on the internet.

Do I need to create a logbook for my personal traveler?

You can, but it's not required, and most personal travelers do not have them. You will probably be getting the finder's stamp in your personal logbook as you also do an exchange and vice versa, but some some people like to keep a special logbook just for finders of their personal traveler.

How do I get someone's personal traveler?

When you meet a fellow letterboxer at a gathering or on the trail, you have the opportunity to get their personal traveler(s). You may need to do something or solve a riddle or puzzle before the owner of the traveler will share the stamp with you. The clues in the personal traveler should tell you about any requirements necessary to get the stamp.

How do I record finding a personal traveler?

If the personal traveler is listed, you may record the find like you do for other letterbox types. Use the Record Find/Attempt link found under the Letterboxes menubar option.
